Die Detectives Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) und Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) sind wieder unterwegs. Das Duo kommt einem Korruptionsskandal auf die Spur, der sie geradewegs ins Herz der Polizei von Miami führt.
